 | - Entamoeba histolytica. Trophozoite in fecal smear (trichrome stain, oil immersion). This trophozoite contains several bright red-staining erythrocytes in the cytoplasm. The nucleus is prominent and contains a central, small karyosome; peripheral chromatin is visible on the nuclear membrane.
